Hubby and I were recently took a short vacation.

Life had been filled with doctor, chiropractor, physical therapy and massage therapy appointments. And a lot of pain. So we took off for a bit – and hid away at a hot springs resort. A re-energizing time to allow us to build ourselves back up for when we returned.

And while we were gone, I thought about…nothing. I soaked in the mineral springs. Walked the shops. Ate my meals. I hardly ever spoke; did pencil puzzles and soaked again.

I realized that, for a few days, I stayed in the moment. No where else. I didn’t worry or think about anything except for what was in front of me at that moment. And it was great!

I used to do that daily, but lost touch with “now” when I was injured. I only thought about tomorrows and next weeks.

But What About Today?

Being in the now, or being present means you are fully engaged in that moment. Not later today, not tomorrow or later. Now.

We, in our hectic days, forget about now. It’s here, now. Today. In this moment.

Maybe this week you can work on being present in your today. Feel yourself engaged in your now.

Don’t forget about today.
