Stars shining bright
eternally optimistic –
or perhaps uncaring –
twinkling incessantly.
Waves bashing
to and fro –
never tiring –
sometimes with vengeance.
Sun spreading heat –
rays seek all.
Growth and death
rolled into one.
Moon waxing and waning,
month after month.
Not knowing it’s
power held over earth.
Wind, gentle and strong.
In temperamental fits
of caressing and
twisted destruction.
Man cannot change these
to fit him.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
A lesson on mankind’s desire to control everything.
