PK – or psychokinesis – is the act of energetically manipulating or moving physical items .
Some examples of PK in the paranormal field can be:
- Objects moving by no physical means or physical disturbances (earthquakes, moving floorboards, heavy trucks driving by causing vibrational movements within the house). This could be as simple as a a glass slightly moving to something being knocked down or knocked off a wall or shelf; something being thrown or something disappearing (keys are most often reported as having disappeared).
- Knocking sounds – This may be sounds (usually knocking) from within the walls, from outside on the house’s exterior walls; or knocking that can’t be placed.
- Water faucets turning on or off, or doors/cabinet doors opening or closing.
- Scratches, bruises, or what feels like a burn.
- Being pushed or shoved.
Possible Causes
There are a few theorized causes for PK; we’ll address the two most common.
1. An earthbound (aka ghostie) or other non-physical entity who is energetically strong enough to interact with the physical world. Most often called a “poltergeist” (means noisy ghost).
2. PK manifestation (also called telekinesis) can also be caused by a living human – particularly strong during hormonal changes, be it a teen or a middle aged adult. – in the house who, instead of constructively dealing with stress and/or their emotions, subconsciously pushes it out.
The human’s own unresolved emotions stirring within and then being pushed out feeds the poltergeist – thereby feeding the PK manifestations.
It is, in essence, creating an energetic blob who can over time (simplified) begin interacting with the physical environment; an energetic golem if you will; a poltergeist.
One theory suggests that if the person’s inner turmoil is not dealt with in a healthy manner, the turmoil continues to feed the poltergeist, and it can eventually develop a type of consciousness. Eventually, these manifestations will interact independently of the human, and then work to create more fear, turmoil or drama to feed off that energy.
It can “grow” from a small blob or small dark shadow to a large blob which can change shape to sometimes portray a shadow-like humanesque shape.
When I’m in the field, I see the human created version more often than a ghost acting out.
Please Don’t Feed the PK Manifestation
If it’s discovered the cause is a ghost, please find someone who is well versed in removing ghosts from a space or can help to cross over the ghost if it’s ready.
If it’s another non-physical being, please contact a person trained in removing them.
If it’s deemed to be a living person in that house, it is a good idea for the person whose subconscious inadvertently created the poltergeist to do one or more (recommended) of the following:
Psychotherapy
This is to aid the person in learning how to consciously deal with the turmoil in their life. A psychotherapist can offer coping tools that can be utilized throughout the person’s life. This approach is highly recommended.
Meditation
Centering, focusing, and decreasing or releasing the pent up energy. This again is a skill that can be used throughout one’s life. Recommended.
Shielding
This can also aid in centering, focusing and may put an energetic barrier between self’s energy and everyone else’s, so one doesn’t absorb others energy or emotions. This is a daily practice, but if the underlying issues are not addressed (with therapy), then shielding is merely a short term band-aid. It is recommended to be used in conjunction with, or after one received, therapy.
Then What?
After the person regains some balance and utilizes the tools learned in therapy, and continue to use them, the PK manifestation should eventually fade away due to no longer being “fed”. And if the person continues to use the acquired balancing skills, there should no longer be any PK disturbances.
