Last week I posted the short article I’m Not Real – hoping to have you, the readers, take a closer look at the illusion of self. And I’d like to continue from that article.
If my 3D physical representation body and name associated with it aren’t real…then what part of me is?
My belief is that my true self is the inner energy self. Some may call it the Spark or the Soul.
My outer-wear, also known as my body, is merely the outfit or costume I’ve chosen to wear for playing the part of “Jan” while having physical experiences.
Ego Driven
Energetically, and for the purpose of this article and topic, we’re talking about the aspect – of being human – where ego is concerned with physical self and self’s advancement in the 3D reality. Simplified, physical self is ego 3D driven.
Ego had been needed for survival of self and species way back when. Humans are animals (mammals) with possibly some unique to the animal kingdom abilities. But, as humans, we are still territorial, driven by the need to eat, sleep, reproduce, and want to be accepted. All of that is 3D physical.
Generalized, now-a-days ego seems to be focused on self importance, and I believe that makes us the only animal ego-driven. Instead of surviving other animal predators, we’ve taken our ego and turned it loose on the urban jungles.
For an extreme – and grossly generalized – example, we can take a glance at what some consider a high profile place, like Beverly Hills or Hollywood. This is where ego is hanging on to the youthful looks, even at the cost of plastic surgery and/or body modification so one can be – or remain being – in the elite crowd; to be “seen”.
Again, all 3D physical. Not our true self.
Yank the Rug Out
Some people don’t have a care and play whole-heartedly in the 3D aspects, including ego as used in this article.
And some work to have their true, soul self, shine through the 3D physical façade.
So, as I’ve been known to do – I’m yanking the “I’m Not Real” rug out from under you by now saying…. I AM real. My spark or soul is real.
I understand that my soul will grow with the experiences the body of Jan – which temporarily houses my true self spark – will provide.
Once again, it’s my hope to have things shaken up, so the reader can take a deeper look at self. Maybe you can ask yourself if you’re living an ego driven 3D physical life only – or are you incorporating your true self as you play out your physical role?
